Looking for an advanced degree that won’t derail your career plans? Consider Castleton University’s Master of Science in Accounting, Master of Science in Athletic Leadership, or Master of Arts in Arts Administration degrees. At 30 credit hours, each program is designed to be completed in one calendar year for a full-time student, keeping costs down and keeping you on track to reach your goals faster.

Master of Science in Accounting

Prepare for success as a professional in public, private and governmental accounting with a Master of Science in Accounting, designed to give you technical competency and specialized knowledge in the field. As you progress, you’ll focus on four study areas:

  • Financial accounting and auditing, including forensics
  • Professional standards and ethics
  • Management accounting and Finance
  • Taxation

You’ll study with our licensed CPA faculty who have years of practical experience. While this program is offered completely online, one-on-one tutoring is available by request. Historically, the program has a 100% job placement rate on graduation and a high pass rate on the CPA exam.

Master of Arts in Arts Administration

If you have the vision to make a lasting impact on the arts in your community, the Master of Arts in Arts Administration degree is for you. You’ll develop a portfolio highlighting your expertise in:

  • Strategic analysis
  • How art gets presented and produced
  • Legal, ethical and policy environments for the arts
  • Leadership in complex organizational structures
  • Research methodologies

The program concludes with an internship with a fine or performing arts organization where you’ll design, execute and evaluate a significant project from a leadership position—giving you a real-world case study and personal experience to take with you into your career field.

Master of Science in Athletic Leadership

Become a skilled head coach or athletic administrator with the Master of Science in Athletic Leadership, designed for professional positions in high school, university or private youth athletic departments or organizations. All students in the degree program complete five Core Courses:

  • Leadership and management
  • Financial administration
  • Athletics advancement
  • Legal topics in athletics
  • Compliance and governance

You’ll choose an emphasis of either Coaching Leadership or Athletic Administration as you learn critical thinking, ethical judgment, and effective communication strategies to apply to any career path. While most courses are online, all students must complete either an internship in athletic leadership or a special project in athletic leadership.
